Checked: verified by a taxonomic editorEditor's comment Perialla Kinberg, 1866 is regarded by several authors as a senior subjective synonym to Boccardia, a widely used name, and in the interests of stability the synonymy has never been enforced (e.g., Blake, 1983). Article 23.9 of the 4th edition of the ICZN code now permits reversal of precedence of Perialla and Boccardia, but it appears no one has taken this action [details]
