Diagnosis Original diagnosis by McIntosh (1915: 176): "Snout with a bluntly bifid median rostrum and a bulging process of the peristomium on each side. Eyes, two or three pairs on each side of the median ridge. Body as in Spio, but terminating in two dorsal and two ventral subulate cirri, the dorsal being thicker. Branchiae from the first foot to the posterior end. Bristles as in Spio." [details]
