Nomenclature Chamberlin (1919: 90) "Eulepis Grube is preoccupied in Insecta (Dalman, 1820) and also in Reptilia
(Fitzenger, 1843). It is here replaced by Eulepethus, nom. nov. and the name of the subfamily [in Sigalionidae at this time] changed to Eulepethinae." Thus all Eulepis automatically belong in Eulepethus unless moved elsewhere (eg to Grubeulepis) [details]
