Editor's comment Between 1993 and 2011 no new Alvinellidae taxa have been described. Further analysis within Alvinella and Paralvinella to justify adoption of subgenera (eg. Nautalvinella and Miralavinella within Paralvinella) is yet to be reported. [details]Habitat Hydrothermal vent specialist [details]
