Classification Monotypic for Levidorum Hartman, 1967 (now in Syllidae:Autolytinae). The genus was initially erected in the Sphaerodoridae, then placed in its own family by Perkins. Glasby (1993) formally placed Levidoridae as a synonym of Syllidae. San Martin (2003) appears to be the first to place Levidorum into Autolytinae, as suggested by Nygren & Sundberg (2003) and confirmed by Nygren (2004). [details]
