Description: Occurs in shallow coastal areas and coral reefs down to 80 m depth. Feeds on benthic invertebrates and fishes. Caught by handlines, traps, bottom longlines and trawls (Ref. 3412). Reportedly ciguatoxic in other areas (Ref. 2799). A fairly important source of food (Ref. 3670). Marketed fresh and frozen (Ref. 9987). [details]
