Description: Papillae conspicuous, white; pedicels crowded, slender from base to tip; large wheels usually (95 per cent) with 9 spokes (Thandar, 1999). Ecology: benthic, continental slope, deposit feeder. General distribution: temperate, tropical, western Indian Ocean, west Pacific Ocean, depth range 380-540 m. (Rowe & Gates, 1995). Also distributed in Australia (Rowe & Gates, 1995). [details] Holotype: Holotype ?Universiteit van Amsterdam, Amsterdam (Netherlands).
