Note  Burton (1954: 231) gives the name Hymeniacidon glabrata in the text, but uses the combination Axinella glabrata in the caption of the figure showing a spicule of the holotype. From the description it is decided that Hymeniacidon glabrata is the intended combination for this species. [details]
