Checked: verified by a taxonomic editorTaxonomy The Systema Porifera (Hooper, 2002: Raspailiidae, p. 506) assigned this genus to the synonymy of Lithoplocamia (with question). The type species, Isodictya spinispiculum, differs considerably from Lithoplocamia in having only a single spicule category of peculiar strongyles, bent in opposite direction at both ends and possessing spines only in the middle parts. It is here judged to be a valid genus and its raspailid nature needs further corroboration. Redmond et al. (2013) reassigned the genus to marine Haplosclerida based on 18S sequence data.We will await a formal classification of the Haplosclerida before this will be implemented.  [details]
