Checked: verified by a taxonomic editorTaxonomy According to the rules of the ICZN the type species of Darwinella must be the same as that of the genus Darwinia for which Darwinella is a replacement name. Müller (1865) erects Darwinella aurea as type species, but this is not allowed. D. aurea Müller is also a junior syonym of D. muelleri. [details]
