Taxonomy Johnson et al. (2013) included this species into their list of freshwater snails of North America. On the other hand, Dillon et al. (2007; Malacologia 49: 283-292) brought some evidence that Ph. hendersoni is a junior synonym of Physella pomilia. Taylor (2003) also belives that Ph. hendersoni shoyld be synonymized with Ph. pomilia. [details]
