Synonymy probably a synonym of the Carribean P. agassizi Théel, according to Deichmann (in Mortensen, 1927). However, Billet, Hansen & Hugget, 1984, are of the opinion that the W atlantic P. gigantea (Pawson, 1976) probably is a synonym of P. grisea.
