During this year's pre-monsoon collections three brachyrhynchan crabs were obtained from Karachi waters. As far as we can see all three appear to be new additions to the carcinological fauna of pakistan. The species are identified as Portunus granulatus (H. Milne-Edwards, 1834), Heteropilumnus trichophoroides (De Man, 1895) and Eucrate sulcatifrons (Stimpson, 1858). Salient features of each are given in the present paper. In the text the abbreviations cl, cb are used for carapace length and carapace breadth respectively.
