A collection of Nereidids is studied collected in the Cape Verde Islands (1996-97) and Canary lslands ( 1999). Six species were recorded, of which Perinereis amblyodonta (Schmarda) is recorded for the first time in the Atlantic and Cape Verde lslands, and Nereis rava Ehlers is first record for the Canary lslands, being its southern limit enlarged. Also is discussed the validity of Nereis funchalensis (Langerhans), related species to N. jacksoni (Kinberg).
