The Serpulidae previously known on the West coasts of Africa between Cape Agulhas and the Straits of Gibraltar are revised. Three new species are described: · Hydroides augeneri, Hydroides monroi, Hydroides calopoma. New records are reported for sorne other species previously poorly known or ignored on the West coasts of Africa and the nearby archipelagos. The Serpulid fauna of these areas is compared to that of the Mediterranean, the Northeastern Atlantic and tropical seas.
