Analysis of the geographical distributíon of the species in the studied área hás revealed the existence of three assemblages: 1-all species, except C. litoralensis (Northern/Eastern Assemblage); 2-C. litoralensis (Southern Assemblage); 3-ali species except C. litoralensis and C. cranekeyensis (Transitional Assemblage). Based on this study, the Southern limit of the Transitional Assemblage is extended to latitude 23°S. The majority of the species is epineritic (<40m) and prefer warm waters; only C. litoralensis occurs in the área of influence of cool waters from the South via the Falkland Current.
