The present paper records two new species of monogeneans (H. daurai n.sp. and H. rameshwarensis n.sp.) belonging to the genus Haliotrema, Johnston & Tiegs, 1922 from Leiognathus daura (Cuvier), a leiognathid fish caught from near Rameshwaram (Tamilnadu). They are characterized by the structure of hard parts.
