Diagnosis Test small to medium in size, inflated fusiform, large globular proloculus followed by four to five and a half gradually enlarging whorls, axis of coiling shorter in early whorls, gradually lengthening with growth, septa plane to undulating in the midregion but strongly fluted toward the poles; wall calcareous, clear, with keriotheca and tectum, rudimentary chomata may be present in the inner whorls; single aperture. L. Permian (Asselian); Southeast European USSR. (Loeblich & Tappan, 1987, Foraminiferal Genera and Their Classification) [details]
