Habitat among the gills filaments of the host (Figs 28, 29), one of two different undescribed species of Bathymodiolus found in same locality and depth (Feehry and Rouse, in prep.). One Bathymodiolus species is smaller and golden in colour, and another larger and dark brown. Laubierus alvini n. sp. was only found in the golden Bathymodiolus, with 2 to 25 specimens within each mussel. [details]
