Taxonomic remark Graff (1882) considers this species to be identical to Proxenetes flabellifer Jensen, 1878. Den Hartog (1964: p. 403) points that to be a mistake, and coins a new species name for Levinsen's species. This, however, is a wrong nomenclatural action according to the rules of the code, as both species are in different genera. Hence the name "Ceratopera levinsini'" should be replaced by "Ceratopera flabellifera". As Den Hartog (1964) does the transfer to Ceratopera, he is the author of the new combination. [details]
