Type material Rioja (1947: 207) refers that the type is deposited in the collections of the Instituto de Biología of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Glasby & Hutchings (2014: 74) comment that "We believe that these collections [of the Institute of Biology] were transferred at some point to the National Museum in Mexico City, which was damaged during an earthquake.[details]
