Status Stechow proposed a new species name for the three variants of Mulder & Trebilcock (1911: 117, pl. 3 figs 3-3b & 6, pl. 2 fig. 9.; Plumularia setaceoides vars. a, b & d) on account of their constriction below the thecal margin. It appears rather dubious to derive such a conclusion from the simple figures given by Mulder & Trebilcock. But as possibly the slides still exist, the material must be re-examined and redescribed [details]
