Etymology The new species is named after the Tarkhankut Upland, located in the northwestern part of the Crimean Peninsula, where it was discovered [details]
Holotype Holotype, male (13.0 mm) (ZMMU Mb-1241); Crimean Peninsula, Chernomorskiy Region, Tarkhankut Upland, well in the Bolshoy Kastel Bay, 45° 27' 22.3'' N 32° 32' 53'' 0 E. The type material was deposited in the collection of Zoological Museum of Moscow State University,Moscow (ZMMU); additional material was deposited in the private collection of the second author (IT).
