Lectotype Parapar et al (2020) mention two syntypes (ZMH V1709, ZMH V1712), then use ZMH V1709 labelled as a lectotype. There is no explanation. It is not clear what they intend to convey by this, but if this was intended as creating a lectotype in this article it is not a valid designation as a lectotype (see Code Article 74.7) [details]
Nomenclature Created as a variety of Terebellides stroemii, thus as "Terebellides Stroemi var. africana n. var". Varieties created before 1961 may be automatically treated as subspecies (Code Article 45.6.4) [details]
Type locality The type locality is apparently only known imprecisely as "equatorial Guinea" (Spanish Guinea in Augener), with no geolocation of the collection point available. The material was not collected by Augener. [details]From other sources
