Holotype Holotype: SAM A13206, female, 11mm.
Type locality: MB 50Q, 34°11'S/22°09'E, 17 January 1956, depth 10 m, substrate rocky.
Barnard (1955) ascribed specimens of this species to A. excavata Barnard, 1925. Griffiths (1974) renamed Barnard's 1955 material as A. acris[details]
