Diagnosis Early stage planispirally coiled, somewhat irregularly in the microspheric generation, later may be uncoiled, megalospheric generation with bilocular embryonal stage; wall thick, agglutinated, microgranular, homogeneous, perforations separated by narrow microgranular lamellae resulting in a keriothecal structure, septa thick, no endoskeletal structures present; aperture single in the early stage, later becoming cribrate.
