This paper is a review of the family classifications of the order Eumonostilifera. Burger's system is out-of-date; however, creation of a phylogenetic system of Eumonostilifera is not possible yet. A new typological classification of the order Eumonostilifera is proposed. It consists of 15 presumably monophyletic groups, which are considered to be of the family rank (Neesiidae fam. n., Sacconemertidae stat. n., Zygonemertidae fam. n., Prostomatidae, Acteonemertidae fam. n., and Potamonemertidae fam. n.).
