Original description Test free, calcareous, unequally biconvex, trochoid in organization, marginate, slightly lobulate; spiral surface in form of a rather low cone showing three and a half whorls on dorsal evolute side early or initial chambers small, compact, embedded in hyaline shell; last formed whorl with six or seven uninflated hyaline chambers, smooth and finely perforated; sutures dorsally radiate, flush initially, oblique, flush to depressed peripherally; ventral surface involute, weakly convex, one whorl of six or seven slightly inflated chambers surrounding closely or otherwise a prominent, flattened hyaline umbilical boss; inner edges of ventral chambers recessed at sutures leaving openings into test at margin of the umbilical area, wall finely perforate, smooth, hyaline; sutures ventrally radiate, depressed; primary aperture along inner edge of last formed chamber.
