Diagnosis Test subglobular, with necklike tubular projections from the surface, the cavities of these necks extending through the entire wall to the globular inner cavity; wall calcareous, finely granular, with dark inner and outer layers separated by a wide clear area; apertures at the end of the elongate tubular necks that are continuous through the thick wall and project beyond its surface.
