Fourteen species of Tubificidae from intertidal and shallow-water subtidal localities along the North-east coast of Saudi Arabia are described and illustrated. Nine species are new to science: Heterodrilus maccaini (subfamily Rhyacodrilinae); Phallodrilus scirpiculus, Aktedrilus paradentatus, Coralliodrilus hamatilis, Duridrilus tectus (subfamily Phallodrilinae); Doliodrilus diverticulatus, Limnodriloides bipapillatus, L. parahastatus and Tectidrilus arabicus (subfamily Limnodriloidinae). The generic diagnoses of Heterodrilus Pierantoni and Doliodrilus Erséus are slightly revised. The list of species reported includes Tubificoides brownae Brinkhurst and Baker (subfamily Tubificinae), which was originally described from temperate North-west Atlantic and which probably has been introduced in the Arabian Gulf.
