A new genus, Tenisonina, and five new species, Crespinella parri, Tenisonina tasmaniae, Elphidium grimensis, E. helenae and E. musselroeensis, are described from the Oligo-Miocene of northern Tasmania. Crespinella is transferred to the Discorbacea. Tenisonina seems restricted to northwestern Tasmania, where it is abundant in the Cape Grim section. All species are Early Miocene in age but two may extend back to the Late Oligocene.
