Etymology The name Nereis taichungensis Hsueh, 2020 is derived from the name of the city on west coast of Taiwan where the worm was collected. [details]
Homonymy Nereis articulata Hsueh, 2020 was an invalid junior primary homonym, and is replaced by Nereis taichungensis [details]
Spelling Nereis taichungensis Hsueh, 2020 is not to be confused with the similar spelling of Nereis taitungensis Hsueh, 2020. Both are valid names from the same author in the same year. [details]
