Remark R. hermi is one of the few well described Rotorbinella from the Paleocene of the Northern realm of the Alps. It is defined in this paper by a thickening of the anterior shoulder of the chamber, extending adaxially over the whole foliar wall and forming there a single rounded projection that is separated from the central umbilical pile by a deep furrow. The notch indicating the position of the plate suture is indistinct. The ventral sutures are falciform and inclined backwards, the dorsal sutures are straight and much inclined. The ratio equatorial to axial diameter varies from 1.8 to 2.4. There are 10–12 chambers in the last whorl. No dimorphism is observed. [details]
