Diagnosis Radial elements are subcompact costosepta frequently anastomosed including in a contratingent manner. Distal edge with a rather regular dentition made of rounded teeth. The inner edge is characterised by the dissociation of trabeculae which participate in a parietal columella. Pores are frequent at the inner upper edge. The lateral faces are strongly ornamented by variously shaped granules: round, acute to pennula-like granules. Branching trabeculae arranged in regular series. Distance between centers of trabeculae 30-200 _m. Radial symmetry is dominant but difficult to decipher in terms of hexameral arrangement. The bilaterality is weakly marked by the curvature of septa and in some cases by the elongation of the axial structure. The wall is a paratheca or a septotheca. Columella spongy or papillose. Synapticulae are scarce or absent according to authors. [details]
