The Copepoda species list still needs to be added into the Register of Antarctic Marine Species (RAMS), as it progresses. It is intended that RAMS, managed through the SCAR MarBIN project, will provide the most complete and up-to-date information on the marine diversity of Antarctica. This information will be passed on to the Oceanic Biology Information System (OBIS), the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and other relevant taxonomy initiatives.
