Amphipneustes lorioli (aboral)
Description Aboral side: The deep marsupia are overarched by flattened paddle-shaped spines. Below this dense cover numerous fine spines are developed, in which the most advanced, "long-spined" juveniles cling with the thorns of their own spines. On the ground of the pouches the smaller "short-spined" juveniles and eggs are densely packed.
Length 59 mm; female; Weddell Sea, Antarctica.
