Taxonomic remark The status of Submargarita is uncertain. Its type species Photinula (Submargarita) impervia Strebel, 1908 was refered to Lissotesta Iredale, 1915 by Waren (1992) which would make Submargarita a senior synonym of Lissotesta. However, this referral is a matter requiring further study. [details]
