Distribution Despite the name, the distribution of E. antarctica Kudenov appears to be subantarctic, off southern South America rather than antartic seas. [details]
Homonymy As a primary homonym pair with Euphrosine antarctica Hartmann-Schröder & Rosenfeldt 1992, the epithet of this junior name, E. antarctica Kudenov, 1993 must be replaced, regardless of subsequent combinations of either. Euphrosine antarctica Kudenov, 1993, apparently in press simultaneously with its senior homonym, is permanently invalid (ICZN 57.2). However, Borda & Kudenov (2014:307) appear to treat it as valid, and did not create a replacement epithet. [details]
