Homonymy This is based on Burton's (1959a) Chrotella cavernosa, which is not conspecific with Lamarck's Cinachyrella cavernosa (as Tethya). It is characterized by possessing large anatriaenes with broad cladomes (see Van Soest & Beglinger, 2008: 755). Further research is necessary to see whether it is an undescribed species. [details]
