Homonymy Hooper (1996: 294) declared Kirkpatrick's record of Clathria typica (Carter, 1881) as not conspecific with it, nor with its senior synonym Clathria (Thalysias) cactiformis. Thus, we maintain Kirkpatrick's name combination as valid despite his opinion that it was conspecific with the South Australian Clathria typica (Carter, 1881). The junior secondary homonymy is removed because Carter's species is a junior synonym of Clathria (Thalysias) cactiformis (Lamarck, 1814). [details]
