From editor or global species database
Taxonomy Topsent's record of Desmacella corrugata (as Biemma) is not conspecific with Bowerbank's species according to Burton (1930). He erected for Topsent's material Desmacella topsenti (Burton, 1930 as Tylodesma). Stephens took over Topsent's combination, but it is more likely it conforms to Bowerbank's material that was subsequently reassigned to Mycale corrugata. [details]
