Note Technically, authorship of Halina should go to...
Type species Technically, authorship of Halina should go to Grant, 1833, because Blainville used the name Halina without naming a type species. He was advised by Grant to use this name for what he eventually chose to name Halispongia. Grant (1833) used the combination Halina panicea, which is Halichondria (Halichondria) panicea (Pallas, 1766). It is not Halina sensu Bowerbank, 1858, which is a Dercitus. (Pachastrellidae). [details]
