Distribution Topsent (1891) reported the occurrence of this species in the Roscoff region. Van Soest (2001) duely repeated that in the ERMS list, but it is likely that Topsent's record concerned Amphoriscus chrysalis as Borojevic et al. (1968) listed A. oviparus under that name. [details]
