Synonymy Burton (1959: 220) assigned Gellius angulatus var. canaliculata Dendy, 1905 (and records cited in Burton, 1928) to the synonymy of Oceanapia sagittaria (Sollas, 1902), but the deep water records of canaliculata do not conform to very characteristic shallow water specimens of Sollas (and further shallow water records reported under that name in various combinations. It is likely that the deep water records under the name canaliculata will not be conspecific with Oceanapia sagittaria. [details]
