GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Indonesian Navy Survey Ship "KRI Rigel 933". Year of discovery: 2022. History: Named from the Uli, a type of coral fish that is commonly found in this area around Wetar Island, in the Banda Sea. The Uli is a species of pelagic ray-finned fish belonging to the family Caesionidae. Also known as yellow and blueback fusilier, beautiful fusilier, blue and gold fusilier or yellow-tail fusilier, but local people use the term “Uli”. |
