Diagnosis Pelogeniinae with dorsal cirri on segment III, with short cirrophores and very long styles. Neuropodia with segment II without long terminal appendages. Neurosetae compound falcigers, with blades all with bifid tips, stems mostly with spinous rows. Prostomium with small lateral ctenidia (except P. malayana). Upper lip with facial tubercle. Elytral and neuropodial filiform papillae not articulated (Pettibone, 1997). [details]
Etymology Pottsipelogenia is named for Frank A. Potts, who described the type species, plus
