Distribution Pacific Ocean: Coiba Island (Panama), at Santa Cruz Beach, located within a cove on the NW coast of the island, and El Gamute Beach, located on the NE coast of the island. Atlantic Ocean: Campos Basin (SE Brazil). [details]
Etymology The specific epithet refers to the number of stomach papillae, which is smaller than in other species of the genus. [details]
Habitat Middle and lower intertidal, in fine to coarse sand of beaches (Coiba Island). Shelf depths, in unknown grounds (SE Brazil). [details]
