Homonymy Raised to Lumbrineris atlantica this subspecies would be a junior secondary homonym to Lumbrineris atlantica (Kinberg, 1865). Day (1963: 410) replaced the name with L. heteropoda difficilis. However, as Kinberg's species is now in Scoletoma, the secondary homonymy no longer exists. Hartman catalogue records a Lumbriconereis atlantica Fauvel, 1934, not yet in WoRMS, but this usage has not yet been sighted to verify Fauvel intended a new name. [details]
