Etymology The specific epithet magnipectinis is composed by the Latin words magni, combining form of magnus and meaning 'great', and pectinis, the genitive singular of pecten, meaning 'comb', and refers to the long and strong spines present below the subdistal tooth of the blades of the big falcigers that appear from chaetiger 11-12, which resemble a big comb.
