Baird, William. (1868 [volume for 1870]). Contributions towards a monograph of the species of annelides belonging to the Amphinomacea, with a list of the known species, and a description of several new species (belonging to the group) contained in the National Collection of the British Museum. Taxonomy named by Baird (1868: 235) as "var. a. pallida" of Chloeia pulchella from Raine's Islet, North Australia, collected by J. B. Jukes. Characterised by "peculiar marks on the dorsal surface of the segments", but Baird does not illustrate the specimen, or further describe the "peculiar marks" [details]
